I think you're going to like this new driving range session then, Johan, and will also see some benefit from the meditations we'll be launching - some specifically on target focus / removing distractions over the ball, some for ways to spot areas of tension and nerves in the body and relax them.

Have you (or anyone seeing this) tried meditation already, outside of golf?

I just got back from a golf trip and the putting self talk worked great. That final "Yes!" is magic! Had 4 putts less than my recent average number of putts and lowered my hcp to a new personal best.

I meditate every once in a while but never in connection with golf or with the purpose to enhance performance.

Some really good sessions in the app now. Both for the golf course, like finding a good state of mind and handling nerves before teeing off, but also for the driving range. The app helped me find a better pre shot routine.
The big one though is putting. Played 60 rounds this year, averaged 32,3 putts. The last 5 rounds I used the Guru apps putting self talk, average number of putts 29,2.

The Power of Dont was really fun and edicational. Good length 14 min. Great exercise for the range instead of standing there on the mat hitting ball after ball.

Could be nice to have the session customised for wedges / irons/ drives as well.

I was thinking about something that could be like a really low entry type of ”Free 5 day visualisation course” to get ppl curious.

I even wrote like a small transcript... This is kind of how I use visualisation today.

Idea

5 days free intro to visualisation
5 sessions a 3 min
Low barrier to commit and great way of building a habit of logging in to the app.

Sessions:
1 see yourself on the tee of your favourite par 4 at the home course. What are you wearing, what ball do you have in your hand and whats the color of the tee.
What does the hole look like, how wide is the fw, what type of shot is the perfect first shot...

2 imagine yourself at the tee holding your club. Feel the clubhead through the shaft and through your grip. Feel the club head wiggling back and forth. Now imagine taking aim for the middle of the fw. Stand over the ball, wiggle twice and take your swing. Feel the compression of a perfect hit. See the ball fly through the air and roll out exactly where you aimed.

3 Now imagine yourself walking towards your ball on The fw. What type of surface are you walking on, can you feel the soft grass through your feet, whats the waether like, do you feel the rays of sun warming your face or is the wind touching you, whats the body like as you walk, Feel it soft and ready to play, What smell do you scent, grass, ocean, rain. As you approach the ball say to yourself that this is a great first shot and that this will be a great day for golf.

4 Now your on the fw of you fav par 4 and the ball is in prime location for your approach. Imagine yourself standing behind the ball taking your aim for the middle of the green. Feel the clubhead through the shaft and through the grip as you take a practice swing behind the ball. Now make another practice swing behind the ball but imagine also seeing the ball flight like on tv with a red tracing line through the air as it shapes through the air and lands perfect in the Middle of the green. Move to the ball now, make two wiggles and then take your swing, you hit it perfect and now you see the ball tracing perfectly through the air landning on the spot you imagined.

5 your ball is perfekt in the middle of the green and you are standing behind the ball with your putter. Imagine a straight red line from your ball to the hole. To make the putt do you need to start it right or left of the line? Now feel the putter head through the shaft and through the grip as you make a practice swing behind the ball. Now make another practice swing and see the red tracing just like on tv tracing your ball as it approaches the hole and falls in to the hole. Its time to make the putt now. Stand above the ball. Feel two Perfect practice swings and make your swing.
